        GCOEARAs ROBOCON team participated in the competition ROBOCON-2018. The competition was organized jointly by MIT and DOORDARSHAN at Balewadi Stadium, Pune, this year. Under the captainship of Kaustubh Gunjal, a team of 37 members from different engineering streams participated in this event with two robots i.e. Manual robot (19 kg) and Automatic Robot (23.6 kg) namely Terence and Matilda respectively. GCOEARAs ROBOCON team defeated the well-known colleges like IIT Indore and NIT Hamirpur, and secured the AIR 2 in the League matches and also bagged the award for “Smart and Simple Robot” which consisted prize money worth of Rs.50, 000 along with the trophy which brought laurels to the college.
         GCOEARA commenced Robotics Research Lab in  2013. Under the guidance and co-operation of Institute’s Principal, Teaching staff and workshop department the smooth working Lab is executed. Every year the Robotics Research Lab participates in National Robotic Contest ROBOCON. This contest has the new & challenging theme every year.
         Dr. R. M. Warkhedkar worked as a co-ordinator and guided students time to time to make this possible in the year 2018.
