Workshop Department is started in the college independently from semester 2010-11.Today it is the backbone of all maintenance related & project related activities of the institute. Under the visionary leadership of Principal, Prof.S.V.Joshi and the Departmental Head, Shri.Alokkumar A.Uplap, Asstt.Professor, Mechanical Engineering, Workshop Department has emerged as the powerhouse to enhance the practical and technical skills of budding technocrats.

The department is now focusing on practical excellence and technical skill development of the students through integrated efforts. This year we have purchased 120 Machines and tools  including oxyacetylene gas welding machine, spot  welding machine, Grinding machine, a Woodworking Planer machine and two A.C arc Welding Machines for workshop .Black Smithy Shop, Tin smithy Shop, Machine Shop, Carpentry/Patternmaking shop, Fitting Shop and welding shop are successfully modernized in this academic year.
We have prepared trays for Electronics Deptt., V& U notches for Civil Engg. & classroom/seminar hall dias for mechanical, Automobile, Computer Engg. & Applied sciences deptt.  For the subject Manufacturing Practices of First year (common), we have conducted all the job work (practical) in our workshop f. Almost 382 students of First year and   165 students of second year (mechanical engg.) and Second year (automobile engg.) students and 150 students of T.E (Mech.Engg & Automobile  Engg.) have successfully completed their practical jobs as per the syllabus prescribed by Pune University.

An extension plan of workshop building is sanctioned & the work is also completed. Very soon we will be in a position to establish Full-fledged CNC Lathe center & Advanced Machine shop in the new extension building of Workshop. Workshop is providing a solid foundation to the entire research project and maintenance related activities of our college. Basic Mechanical Engineering & Metrology & Quality Control practical are also arranged in Workshop to impart practical knowledge to students. Truly “Work Is Worship” in our workshop department.
