A five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) sponsored by Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra on "Deep Learning and Its Engineering Applications" was held from February 13 th to 17 th, 2024. The program was coordinated by Dr. M. S. Nagmode (HoD E&TC) and Dr. N.S. Nehe (HoD I&C), with Dr. M.S. Bongulwar and Dr. N.P. Futane serving as co-coordinators. Faculties from E&TC and Instrumentation and control department helped in organizing event for 5 days .
The FDP aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply deep learning techniques in engineering applications. The program featured sessions delivered by experts from both academia and industry, ensuring a well-rounded perspective on the subject.
The sessions covered a comprehensive range of topics, providing participants with a strong foundation in deep learning concepts, algorithms, and frameworks. Participants actively engaged in all sessions, demonstrating their dedication to learning.
An industrial visit to GMRT Khodad was organized on the final day, offering participants valuable insights into the practical applications.
To assess the participants' understanding of the covered material, a test was conducted on the last day. All 21 participants who sincerely attended all sessions successfully completed the program and were awarded certificates of completion.
This successful FDP has undoubtedly empowered the participating faculty members to integrate deep learning concepts into their teaching and research endeavors, ultimately benefiting students and further advancements in the field.
