Swacch Bharat Abhiyan

It is a campaign of National level & interest by the Government of India with a vision of ‘Clean India’ by 2019. This campaign as we all know was officially launched at Rajghat on 2nd October 2014 by Prime Minister ShriNarendraModi himself on occasion of birth anniversary of Father of nation Shri Mahatma Gandhi. It is India’s biggest ever cleanliness drive which included participation of 3 million government employees, school & college students of all over India.  It has been carried forward since then with people from all walks of the life. The basic principle of the event lies in the fact that if each person of the country starts keeping clean without tolerating dirt , we can create a beautiful country  with high living standards. Exterior cleanliness gives birth to cleanliness of heart which has been an identity of our country since years. A tradition & culture followed since ages to respect the motherland by beautifying it.

Our college did not remain behind in this mission. In fact there was an enthusiastic participation of the whole staff including Principal Prof. S.V. Joshi, the Head of the departments, the whole teaching & not teach staff and all the students. Everyone pledged according to the pledge issued by the Government of India which says to render the moral duty towards the nation of bringing cleanliness. The whole campus was given a face upliftment with everyone working for beautifying the campus. Each part of the campus, starting from the drains to the grounds as well as the buildings, everything was checked, swept, and cleaned. Not even a single piece of paper was left lying in the college premises. Even the unwanted weeds , the dusts, nothing was left. And in the whole scenario the hard work from the each and every person related to the college could be seen. It was a team work where each person was paying off one of his national duty in interest of the nation. The event went on for nearly 2 hours. The same event was once again conducted on 26th of January. Its not that the cleanliness drive has been an occasional scenario but it has been a daily work now. The college authority and the students together have stand up to their responsibility.

As stated in the principle, Swacch Bharat Abhiyan would always remain an important part of life for each and every person relating to the college so that everyone together can come up for a cleaner and greener India. Neither we would create dirt no we would let anyone do the same.
